EmTone in Utah
The beauty industry is flush with products claiming to reduce the appearance of cellulite.
The problem is that all the options on the market either require some downtime to recover or fail to perform. EmTone is different. It is the first and only remedy for cellulite that treats the source of dimpled skin.
Rose Spa: Cellulite and Emtone
Jessica, spa manager and master esthetician at The Rose Spa, discusses fighting cellulite with Emtone™. This advanced procedure uses radiofrequency and sound waves to greatly improve the appearance of cellulite. Jessica goes over the Emtone procedure, downtime, candidates, and how to prepare for treatment.
What is EmTone and How Does it Work?
EmTone incorporates thermal monopolar radiofrequency with targeted mechanical pressure to treat the connective tissues that lead to cellulite. Safe, electrical energy is delivered by the EmTone handpiece to the skin. It glides easily over the affected area with the help of conductive, moisturizing lotion. The device simultaneously emits acoustic waves that disrupt cellulite, and it stimulates the skin. This promotes the production of collagen and elastin within the treated areas and helps smooth away the dimpling to create a more attractive body contour.
What are the benefits of EmTone?
EmTone is the only non-invasive procedure used to effectively treat the primary causes of cellulite. Many patients liken EmTone appointments to a hot stone massage treatment in conjunction with intense mechanical vibrations. The combination of thermal energy and mechanical pressure, or heat and massage, elevates the temperature of the tissue in the treated areas. Results may include:
- Increased circulation. Healthy blood flow will produce happier skin.
- Relief from pain and muscle spasms.
- Diminishing fat chambers.
- Increase in metabolic waste removal.
- Promotion of the development of collagen and elastin.
- Restoration of skin elasticity.
- And everyone’s favorite, overall reduction in the appearance of cellulite.

Who is a Candidate?
Any person, with any body type, who is looking to reduce the appearance of cellulite and improve their skin’s elasticity can gain the benefits of EmTone. There are no BMI restrictions, like so many other contouring treatments. Patients with an implantable metal device are, unfortunately, contraindicated from EmTone treatments due to the emission of monopolar radiofrequency. Our highly trained professionals at The Rose Clinic will sit down with you and put together your individual treatment plan, to help you achieve the aesthetic you desire.
Patients typically require four to six treatments over the course of a few weeks. Session time can be anywhere from 5 to 20 minutes per area. You will be lying down, and even relaxed, while the device heats and massages your targeted cellulite. Continual movement of the handpiece and internal safety mechanisms, like automatic shut-off, ensure your skin will not get too hot or uncomfortable. Treated areas can include:
- Abdomen
- Lower buttocks and upper thighs
- Back, front, and inner thighs
- Upper arms
What is Recovery Like After Treatment?
EmTone requires simple, in-office visits for treatment; no scalpels and no anesthetics are necessary. This means you will be able to return to your regular activities immediately. There is no need to schedule recovery time away from work and daily obligations, and no need to follow up with post-procedure care. Some patients start to see improvement after their first treatment. Your results will continue to improve over a few months. Occasional maintenance treatments are recommended periodically, usually every 6 to 12 months, to maintain your results.
